Preventive maintenance
inspection (PMI) operations
PMI servicing carried
out on your motors includes the following
operations depending on the motor
type and the application.
All work is carried
out by our own factory trained service
engineers.
1. Recording
of motor type, serial no, plate details,
position, machine details and machine´s
recorded use.
2. Details of
ancillaries eg. tacho, encoder, brake,
etc.
3. Commutator
and slipring condition and patina
condition, roughness etc.
4. Condition
and diagnostic appraisal of commutator
and slipring brushes and recommendations,
wear rate against last service.
5. The motor´s
inside environment condition.
6. Isolation
safety and electrical integrity tests.
7. Windings
resistance tests and balance tests.
8. Tacho and/or
encoder conditions and couplings.
9. Ventilator
checked for conditions, pollution
and vibration, fan direction etc.
10. Drive belts,
coupling etc. for condition, alignment
and adjustment
11. Brake checked
for condition, wear, health and safety
issues.
12. Bearings
checked for condition and vibration
using the very latest monitoring and
analysis equipment made specifically
for the task. Trend checking against
last inspections to diagnose any deteriation
in service.
13. Monitoring
of electrical values with machine
running checking for any out of specifications
recordings.
14. Monitoring
of tachos to check operation within
recommended limits.
15. Environment
checks for temperature of motor while
running, cabinet temperature, humidity
etc.
16. Any observatins
noted by our engineers and advice
vor continuous operation.
17. All operations
are recorded on special service sheets
and copies supplied to you with an
overview report in supplied file,
with provision for further reports
to be added to make trend monitoring
an easy operation.
18. Preferential
24 hour call-out service and back-up.
19. All Baumuller
genuine parts supplied at a discount,
which increases with the length of
continuous service.
20. Baumullerkat
India Pvt. Ltd. would prefer to carry
out most of the service operations
while the machine is in production
and often only have to have the motor´s
power cut for appx. 20 minutes to
complete the service. (Depending on
applicatin and if further work is
needed along with the service operations).
21. We are also
pleased to offer other optional services
at an extra cost such as commutator
profile testing, on-site high pot
testing and optical belt alignment.
